I just got through watching the President and the update on the COVID-19. I really don’t care what people think but I truly feel that our President is doing what he does best..managing the crisis, pulling businesses together, cutting through red tape and giving people hope. Everyday we hear the negative from the main stream media…we see the number tested, the number who have the virus, the number who have died…I would like to see the number of the people who are in recovery or have recovered. I would like to see more positivity in this crisis. The United States has weathered much for being such a young country and I believe in my heart that we will weather this and come out stronger. But we are at a point that we all need to band together and stop the spread of hysteria and panic. Calm heads need to prevail and we certainly do not need to be terrifying our children. We need to explain what is going on and the precautions, but that is it. Small children do not need to be burdened with adult worries. And furthermore, we need to lead by example…going to the store and buying everything on the shelves without thinking of others is selfish and a bad precedent. We should be banding together not running around as if this is the apocalypse. We will survive this is we keep our heads and follow instructions. The sooner this ends; the sooner we get back to normal and the economy will bounce back. That will be far better for our children than fear. We are inundated with this from the mainstream media. See it for what it is; ratings..that is it..
I also feel that the time has come to push for term limits for Congress. I do not believe our founding fathers meant for a person to run for office and stay there for 30, 40, or 50 years. The original founding fathers were normal men: farmers, statesmen, and ministers. The premise was being in office and then go back home to resume your regular life. Public office was not meant to be a job. Some of these people in DC have never held a real job and that includes the former president and one of the democratic candidates. How can they say they understand the plight of working America if they have never held a job or owned a business and created jobs? The answer is simple; they can’t. Now elected officials stay until they die. They no longer worry about what is good for the country but what is good for themselves. They are politicians and the majority of them are multi-millionaires and probably some are billionaires. It should bother voters that they do this on a salary of less than 200K a year. We foot the bill for their second homes, their private jets, their security, and anything else they need. I do not understand why they all feel they need homes in DC. They need to live among their constituents , but sad to say, the only time we see them is when it is election time. This needs to end. No Representative or Senator needs to serve more than two terms. The President is limited in this manner and frankly they should be as well. If this pandemic has shown us anything, it should be a wake up call to push for limits. I can not believe that the House of Representatives used this crisis with the health and economy of the American people to push for ridiculous measures for windmills, emissions, and a pay raise for themselves. What is wrong them? People need to wake up and realize that politicians have their own agenda and it does not include any good for the average American.

Finally, the United States of America is the Greatest Country to live in and I will always believe that. I think President Trump is the right man for the job and everyday he shows how to lead in the face of adversity. There is a huge difference between having a politician for a president vs a businessman who knows how to get things done. We are very lucky that the man in the White House is a businessman who knows “The Art of the Deal”. Love him or hate him…he is managing this crisis, trying to save the economy and giving hope. And yes, there will be those that say he did not get to it soon enough. Well let us consider what happened prior …the democrats wasted millions of tax dollars impeaching him and then putting him on trial for charges , that at best, were trumped up (no pun intended) . And even with all that, he still managed to continue doing his job. So remember which group have been obstructionist since he was elected. Also remember that China is a communist country with their own agenda….the virus is their creation…it was released in their country for many weeks before they informed the rest of the world..so when you are looking for blame…those are the places you need to look. Our President has said that we need to reduce foreign dependence, looks like he was right.

I pray for our President, my family, friends, and country everyday. I hope that this is over quickly and the loss of life is minimum.
