Dating the Teacher Way

I am a teacher by profession so you would think that for me dating would be easy. After all some of the best pick up lines are directed at teachers…

I mean how many times has a teacher heard…
“Oh you’re a teacher, want to keep me after school for detention?”
Or
“You know what I love about teachers, they make you do things over and over until you get it right.”
And of course…
“You know I don’t mind showing my work.”

With lines like that…I ask you: How can a teacher not get a date?

Me …I’m that teacher.

But now, after years of dating fails; I have come to realize that I need to put my teacher training to work for me.

So step right up and learn the Teacher’s Guide to Dating

We are going to utilize the “non-negotiable” method. We are going to have a target, objectives, and a plan. Why a plan? Because failing to plan is planning to fail. (Actual statement said by every supervisor everywhere.)

The Teacher Method is Simple.
First step is the DLT or Dating learning target.
TLD will at the end of this lesson go on a date with an 80% enjoyment rate. This is an achievable target.

So you are asking yourself. How do we achieve this target? Well I’m glad you asked.
Objectives People! You need well written objectives.

Objective 1: The Datee will investigate and analyze the potential dates social media presence.

Objective 2: The Datee will engage in verbal communication with potential date to identify topics of conversation.

Objective 3: The Datee will evaluate conversations to make sure potential date is not expecting sex.

And last but not least, Objective 4: The Datee will Assess the dates potential using a rubric designed to deduce danger zones and red flags.

By following these simple steps, the datee can eliminate the need for awkward 1st dates or hurt feelings.

But of course there is one more important step in the Teacher Dating Method and that is :
Intense analysis of responses to Q and A to check for those potential danger zones and red flags.

After scrutiny:

Does he want pictures or want to send pictures?
Potential date admits he doesn’t read so why would he want to go out with a teacher…hmmm. ( This answer will vary among professions.)
The date was to be dinner which changed to drinks which ended with an invite to meet at a bar and do shots.
And finally….can you pick him at his hotel since he is recently separated….I’m sorry What?! RED FLAG!!!!!!

Pay attention ladies and gentlemen…

Once the lesson is complete, you must do some self reflection.
1. Was this lesson helpful?
2. Will this help avoid dating pitfalls?
3. Will you accept the potential date?
Please explain your answers using complete sentences as well as correct grammar and spelling.

And that ladies and gentlemen is the Teacher Method of Dating.
Because failing to plan is planning to fail.
